 ATTENTION AMERICAN BUYERS!
After some lengthy research, I have discovered that Americans can purchase these privately owned Canadian firearms but please READ THIS BEFORE YOU CALL ME to determine what is necessary to buy them and have them shipped to you.

BATF APPLICATION

BEFORE EVEN CONTACTING ME please contact the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. You may import a rifle or shotgun as a curio or relic license by submitting BATF Form 6.

It can take up to 60 days for the BATF to approve or reject your application.

Here is some further information that US buyers should consider:

From http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/trade/eicb/military/faq-en.asp#7

Q7. I want to permanently export a firearm to the US.

A7. Firearms that are classified as either restricted or non-restricted may be exported to the US without a Canadian Export Permit. However, the Canadian exporter must be in possession of an approved US import permit (currently this is a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Form 6 (BATF Form 6)). To export prohibited firearms the exporter must apply for an export permit from International Trade Canada (ITCan). Blank applications are available by calling (613) 996-2387 or by faxing your request to (613) 996-9933. Completed applications must be accompanied by a US Import Permit (BATF Form 6) which specifically identifies the firearm to be exported. Canadian exporters are required to report the permanent export of firearms to the Canada Firearms Centre. It is recommended that copies of the Export Permit, foreign import authorisation and any waybill issued by the carrier be provided to the Canada Firearms Centre to support the exporters claim of permanent export. A photocopy of the foreign import authorisation should be included with the package when shipped.

SHIPPING

Here is what Canada Post advises (http://www.canadapost.ca/tools/pg/manual/pgnonmail-e.asp#1379619

4.3 Firearms (Including Imitation and Replica Firearms)

Please contact the Canadian Firearms Centre at 1-800-731-4000 to determine whether it is permissible to ship your firearms.

When it is determined permissible to ship firearms, they are to be shipped using Canada Post’s most secure product, Priority Courier with signature.

Once a US buyer has gone through ALL the inquiries and is comfortable that the firearm they wish to consider purchasing can be purchased by them and sent by me, THEN contact me for the next steps. Lots of work but it could be worth it.
